Bike Florida 2009 - Spring Event
Bike Florida 2009 is a linear ride starting in beautiful and historic Madison and traveling through Monticello and Wakulla and then back through both cities to end on April 4, in Madison.

Bike Florida 2009 "Capitol Tour" is leisurely-paced and is designed to be a fun and relaxing vacation for cyclists of all ages and abilities. Cyclists will have the opportunity to visit award-winning Florida state parks, historic sites, and world-famous attractions! You will ride through historic Florida towns, past lovely springs and lazy rivers, and along roads lined with beautiful oak trees covered with hanging Spanish moss. You'll ride through historic county seats, past architecturally beautiful court houses and capitol buildings, into Tallahassee's State Capitol Building. There we will be joined by the Florida Bicycle Association for an advocacy event on the capitol steps. After the evening meal served on the grounds, entertainment can take the form of wildlife presentations, films, local music groups, bonfires, beer gardens, or our ever popular Game Night! We begin in Madison and stay 2 nights there. We then cycle to Monticello and then to Wakulla Springs. Though we spend 2 nights in Wakulla Springs we will spend the 2nd day riding into Tallahassee to enjoy an event cohosted by the Florida Bicycle Association on the steps of the Florida Capitol Building. We then ride back to Wakulla springs, spending a night in Monticello and on our way back to Madison and our vehicles.
