BIKE FLORIDA
2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY
APRIL 7-12, 2001

Bike Florida Named:
Best Biking in America
by League of American Bicyclists

This year's tour will travel over 300 miles of a new route along the Atlantic Ocean coastline.  We begin in "Space City USA" and finish our odyssey in the "Oldest City".  We'll visit several state & national parks as well as a few natural springs that people loved on last year's tour.  Excursions to world famous attractions and beautiful beaches will provide as much fun off the bike as on it!

On Saturday, April 7, 2001, the opening day of Bike Florida 2001: A Space Odyssey, NASA and the Kennedy Space Center scheduled a Delta Rocket Launch with a stated mission of Mars Surveyor Orbiter.  The launch was tentatively scheduled for 11:02 a.m.
