Challenge of the Charities!

Key Semion was a beloved member of the community. Her dedication to safe cycling and advocacy led her to become the guiding force behind the Challenge of the Charities. |
Raise money for your favorite charity while you enjoy the ride!
You may have participated in special charity rides that have not been particularly well organized or seemed very safe. Bike Florida has been recognized nationally for conducting one of the safest rides in the country. Safety is our top priority.
Turning Bike Florida's spring ride into a fund-raising opportunity for your favorite charity is fun and easy. Here's how:
- Just register to participate in our annual spring ride. Better yet, put together a team to register and ride together. You can register on line with active.com with a direct link from our website at www.bikeflorida.org
- Set up a donation site at www.firstgiving.com (the website has very clear and easy steps to setup your site).
- When you have set up your donation site, please email Bike Florida the logo for your charity at registration@bikeflorida.org (this way we can post a direct link to our website along with all the other teams).
- Then ask your friends, family and supporters to pledge a certain amount, say 10 cents, for every mile you ride each day on the Bike Florida tour; the proceeds to go to your favorite charity. (Mileage averages between 40-65 miles a day). They can go directly to your page and donate!
Bike Florida will help you keep track of your mileage and provide you and your teammates with safe routes, road assistance, and all of the other support that comes with the registration fees. There is no extra cost to participate in Challenge of the Charities! You get everything the ride offers and more!
If you want to engage in friendly competition with other charity ride teams, Bike Florida will announce the figures throughout the event.
Every participant will receive a Bike Florida Challenge of the Charities certificate at the conclusion of the ride.
When you get home, let your friends, family and supporters know how many miles you rode!
