Help Bike Florida Make Our Streets Safer
We are just coming off of WoRD (World Day of Remembrance), a day where we gathered to honor victims of traffic violence. We held events in Treasure Island and St. Petersburg and several survivors and relatives of victims gathered to remember and talk about the changes needed to promote safer communities for cyclists and pedestrians.
A lot of that change begins with programming.
Bike Florida holds training for cyclists across the state of Florida.
Programs that help cyclists become more aware while sharing the road; programs that help young cyclists prepare for street riding; programs that train bike enthusiasts to be leaders of cycling groups and share their knowledge of safe street riding.
Every one of these programs is a vital part of ensuring our streets are safer places to ride.
