Bradford County is a county in the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2010 census, the population was 28,520. Its county seat is Starke. The county is a rural community located in Northeast Florida. And was founded as New River County in 1858 but was renamed Bradford County in 1861. Stroll down historic streets in Starke, featuring architecture from the antebellum south era. In springtime, visitors flock to the county for the annual Strawberry Festival and the fairs that accompany the festival.
