Clay County, Florida

Clay County is a United States county located in the northeastern part of the State of Florida. As of 2019, the population was 219,252. Its name is in honor of Henry Clay, a famous American statesman, member of the United States Senate from Kentucky, and United States Secretary of State in the 19th century. Its county seat is Green Cove Springs. People particularly enjoy the therapeutic warm springs in the county and the Palatka to Lake Butler State Bike Trail.
