Escambia County, Florida

Escambia County is the westernmost and oldest county in the U.S. state of Florida, located in the northwestern corner of the state. At the 2010 census, the population is 297,619. Its county seat and largest city is Pensacola. Tristán de Luna of Spain led America’s first settlement attempt here in 1559. Tour the National Naval Aviation Museum, where you will find more than 150 restored aircraft representing U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard aviation.
