Okaloosa County lies in the Florida Panhandle, extending from the Gulf of Mexico to the Alabama state line. As of the 2010 census, the population was 180,822. Its county seat is Crestview. Visit Crab Island Beach, where you can walk out into the water for over one-quarter of a mile and experience the pontoon boats cruising around selling food, beverages, and ice cream. Okaloosa Island has a boardwalk, and you can rent pontoon boats for floating around and watching the beachgoers. Children will love the Emerald Coast Zoo and the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park. Okaloosa County is also home to the Air Force Armament Museum, which is the only museum in the world dedicated to the collection, preservation and exhibition of artifacts and memorabilia associated with Air Force Armament and its platforms of delivery.
