September Sun

September bike rides in Florida are mostly bliss—warm sunshine, a hint of fall in the air, and fewer summer crowds on the trails… but also afternoon rains. 🌻 The mornings are perfect for cruising past palm trees and coastal views, with a breeze that keeps the ride from getting too hot. Whether it’s pedaling along scenic greenways, spotting wildlife, or stopping for a refreshing iced coffee, riding this time of year feels like an adventure. It’s filled with anticipation of the cooler weather to come as we celebrate making it through another Florida summer on our bikes. 🚴♀️☀️

Our goal is to create safer roads (for bikers, pedestrians, and drivers) in Florida by putting stricter laws in place that will reduce distracted driving, save lives, and hold drivers more responsible for fatal crashes caused by distracted driving.

From The Director’s Desk

While some places in the country are experiencing the cool temps of fall, Florida summer is still in full swing. With the threat of hurricanes still in play, we patiently wait until our tour season will safely start back up in November. We’ve got a bunch of our classic coast-to-coast rides, along with a few fun alternatives, like the Amelia Island Hub Tour and the Lighthouse Tour.
Reserve your spot in one of our fall tours so you can experience the joy of a sunny vacation on our bicycle trails. Or choose a winter tour for an escape from your chilly neck of the woods.
If you can’t wait until our tour season to catch up, join us on September 14th at North Florida Bicycle Club’s Endless Summer Watermelon Ride. There is a ride distance for every level, from 11 to 100 miles. Find us there and say hello!
IMPORTANT:
If you haven’t already, please take the time to sign the petition for the Hands Free Initiative (seen above). Every year, more and more Florida cyclists are injured due to distracted driving. Signing the petition is letting your voice be heard, and the more voices heard, the closer we get to passing this initiative. Please help us keep our cycling (and pedestrian) communities safer!
